Israel Hayom has reported that an Israeli airstrike overnight in the Syrian city of Homs targeted a warehouse stocked with missiles and air defense equipment recently transferred from Turkey.
According to details later carried by Saudi outlet Al-Hadath, the facility housed weapons manufactured in Turkey and moved into Syria in recent weeks. An Israeli security official, speaking to Saudi media, described Syria’s internal situation as “highly fragile” and stressed that Israel insists on the demilitarization of southern Syria.
The official added that Israel would not hesitate to use force against any perceived threat and warned that Turkey was attempting to provoke a confrontation. He further noted that while Israel has assisted the Druze community in Sweida, its primary concern remains its own security.
